All blocks must be chamfered, doweled and hardened to 56-58 Rc. Metal parts must be finished with black oxide to provide corrosion protection and improve appearance.
Suppliers are not allowed to use Aluminium or any other softer material which are susceptible for wear and tear for the construction of all main block and details (Gage Pins, blocks etc).
Glue or other substance is to be used to support in location of any blocks.
The use of shim on Fixtures is strictly prohibited. If any adjustment is required a hardened and ground adjustment plates (minimum 3mm thick) may be used with agreement of the concerned engineer.
Also the use of sleeves or hardened blocks for the purpose of correcting a dowel positions are not permitted. All units to be doweled. Dowel engagement to be at least (2) times diameter total through detail and mounting base. Use vented pull dowels for blind holes.
